Spirit of Earth
During an outdoor construction, the design team observed that when a laser from gradienter sweeps across the grass, it can create a magnificent visual spectacle. This outdoor lighting uses a linear laser to sweep across the grassland in parallel and illuminate it, causing the entire grassland to shine with scattered green light spots. When in use, the light dots fluctuate up and down, as if the grass is dancing gracefully, like spirit of earth. This design aims to achieve more grassland lighting and richer visual experience with less energy, adhering to the concept of sustainable development.
Spirit of Earth Outdoor Lighting by Jingyi Miao has been featured as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Spirit of Earth Outdoor Lighting was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2024. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which rewards exceptional design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
