Su'me
Sume is a table lamp made of handmade blown glass and copper. The name refers to the honeycomb texture of the design. The base is copper plated and each glass shade is blown by hand, so every piece has a slightly different form and size. The lamp measures 34 centimeters in diameter and 40 centimeters in height. Sume is powered by mains electricity and includes a dimmer, so the light intensity can be adjusted to suit the room. The design supports traditional craft skills and the use of recyclable materials.
Su'me Table Lamp by SEBNEM BUHARA was featured as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Su'me Table Lamp won the Iron A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2024.
